— About / The Bohri Food Co.

A Bohri Daawat isn't just a meal — it's a tradition of sharing, abundance, and connection.

Our
Story

At The Bohri Food Co., food is more than just what’s served on the table — it’s a tradition of togetherness, generosity, and shared experiences.

Rooted in the rich culinary heritage of Bohri cuisine, we bring authentic flavours crafted with time-honoured recipes, slow cooking techniques, and thoughtfully balanced ingredients. Every dish is prepared with the intention of recreating the warmth and comfort of a true Bohri Daawat.

Founded under Pure Taste Ventures by Abdul Kadir Kayum, The Bohri Food Co. was created to preserve and share the essence of Bohri food with modern-day Mumbai. What started with a passion for authentic flavours and meaningful dining experiences has now grown into a catering and pre-order brand trusted for family gatherings, festive celebrations, corporate events, and intimate daawats.

From our signature biryanis and kebabs to traditional Bohri delicacies, every meal is designed to feel abundant, comforting, and memorable. We believe the best conversations happen around a shared meal — and that philosophy continues to shape everything we serve.

Whether it’s a small family gathering or a large celebration, our goal remains the same: to bring people together through food that feels honest, familiar, and deeply rooted in tradition.

Founder · Chief Tasting Officer

Kadir built The Bohri Kitchen from the ground up — turning a family tradition into one of Mumbai’s most loved Bohri food experiences. The Bohri Food Co. is the next chapter: same hands-on standards, same time-honoured recipes, now at the scale of corporate catering and pan-India weddings.

Still personally taste-tests every menu. Still believes the best conversations happen around a shared thaal.

What We Stand For

Three things that shape everything we serve.

i

Tradition, kept whole.

Time-honoured Bohri recipes — preserved and passed forward without dilution. The way it’s always been done.

ii

Slow, on purpose.

24-hour marinades. 3–4 hour cook times. Nothing rushed, nothing reheated. The depth comes from time.

iii

Shared tables.

Food is a reason to gather. Every thaal, every meal box, every catering is built for the people sharing it.
